I'm a freelance extension of the Your Creative Sauce (York) team, helping them to bolster their services to clients with marketing strategy, copywriting and editing, campaign strategy, leading messaging workshops for client videos. I also assist with pitch writing and presenting to prospective clients.

I'm a freelance extension of the YouFibre Marketing Team / Internal Studio. I've used my copy skills and experience from the telecoms sector to help them find their tone of voice, and I now craft most of their customer journey content. I've created their refer a friend campaign content and I'm currently re-writing their website.

I'm a freelance creative marketer & copywriter with 20 years' experience. I support small businesses, agencies, or marketing teams when they need an extra pair of hands.

I spent three months freelancing for the brilliant team at brand studio EDNA (Leeds). During my time there I helped them progress the copy for their re-brand, I wrote blogs and emails for a national composite door brand, and provided holiday cover for their Account Director. I looked after the Primark Corporate Affairs Team and managed the creation of some of their key annual reports through the studio ready for production.

I was a key part of the Marketing team at the inception of this start-up broadband network & internet service provider. I worked closely with the senior leadership team to create the brand identity, develop our proposition, and go-to-market plans as we began the network build and launched the brand in the East of England. My key achievements include • Involved in shaping our brand identity, tone of voice, key proposition and go to-market strategy. • Sourced and set up marketing, media & mailing house partnerships to deliver go-to-market plans. • Planned and written content for use in all channels to help bring the brand to life. • Collaborated with a PR agency and SLT on the PR plan and a community engagement programme. • Implemented a DM strategy to enable us to gain first mover advantage in a competitive market. • Recruitment and line management of marketing execs to grow the team. • Managing annual brand & marketing budget of £500k.

Marketing lead for the rollout of Ultra Fibre Optic (UFO), TalkTalk’s full fibre internet (FTTP) network in York. Joining the ground-breaking project right at the beginning I contributed to the growth of the brand and loyal customer base; developing a hyper-local strategy to launch the product through to the planning and delivery of integrated brand, acquisition and PR campaigns, managing an annual budget of £600k.

• Led a team of 2 responsible for defining and delivering customer retention initiatives and communications. • Contributed to tender documents for white-labelling projects and presented our marketing strategy to potential partners. • Responsible for bringing in an email marketing platform and launching a regular e-newsletter to drive customer engagement and awareness of product features and benefits. • Worked closely with Legal, Compliance and Product Teams to refresh key communications across the customer lifecycle to reduce lapse rates.

I was responsible for planning and developing marketing campaigns, online marketing content and offline materials to support customer engagement and retention activity and annual product launches.
